Lockdown has no doubt inspired many labels to pay homage to Nature, which has been a great solace during this most difficult year. So, why not take a moment to ponder how you might like to spend these golden days. With winter coming, now is the time to consider an escape to the gorgeous British countryside - even if it's just for a Sunday stroll. There are a wealth of country homes - Cliveden, The Newt, Thyme, Heckfield Place and Brownber Hall - that offer magical escapes. We've chosen to showcase our collection alongside the peerless Fife Arms, which was voted British hotel of the year.

In order to move seamlessly from town to country you'll want to don Fabiana Filippi's loosely-fitted wool suit. Then add an extra dash of style with a pair of Tess Van Ghert sunnies and a Scottish-inspired Paisley scarf.

Once they show you to your room, you'll want to change into something more comfortable. So, swap fitted coats and jackets for Fabiana Filippi's easy-wrap, wool-silk-and-cashmere 'dressing-gown' coat.

Given all the walking we're doing, sensible shoes are a must this autumn. The Scots invented brogues - originally intended as an outdoor shoe - and Fabiana Filippi have come up with a fantastic modern riff on the style.

In the country, headgear is essential as the doorman at the Fife Arms will tell you. We agree. Any excuse to wear our favourite new knitted trilbys from Lorena Antoniazzi. Matching jewellery is optional.

Country style can be just as chic as city suits. We absolutely love these buttery leather culottes, paired with a simple pique cotton shirt from Aspesi and Peserico's unusual indigo blue-and-brown wool jacket.

Getting out in urban woods or on Highland heather moors requires a warm coat. You won't find one better than Aspesi's quilted orange swing coat made from the finest cashmere. And, it matches the landscape.

Hiking, fishing, horse riding and golfing can all take their toll, so be sure to pack at least one cosy cardigan for snug days spent inside. Piazza Sempione's over-sized, 'grandma cardi' is just perfect for tea time.

While country days call for a relaxed look, evening cocktails and dinner still demand something a little special. Keeping with the country theme, we think Altea's new horse-print, ruffled shirt is right on the money.

The Fife Arms is filled with 16,000 artworks and antiques, so why not add your own piece of art to the ambiance by slipping on Tess Van Ghert's exquisite new teal evening bag with its handcrafted brass chain and Medusa brooch.

Grand, country house interiors call for equally bold fashion statements. We think that nice crystal glass of peaty whisky would be very well accompanied by this stunningly sexy leather dress from Fabiana Filippi.

And, when you finally retire to your sumptuous bedroom swathed in luxurious fabrics, you'll be glad you packed one of our Laurence Tavernier check dressing gowns in the softest brushed cotton.
