While he designed grand churches and palaces, his real talent was for country houses and suburban villas. What's so pleasing about these buildings is their perfect sense of scale and restrained styleWe think our latest collection has that same sense of classic design. The Herno coats are beautifully structured while fabrics are subtly textured to add depth. Accessories, too, are notable for their shapes, material and colour. Think of them as the little flourishes that are meant to attract the eye and decorate the completed look.

Strong shapes, sophisticated subtle colours and top quality materials distinguish Fabiana Filippi and Antoniazzi this season. Fabiana's petrol green-blue quilted jacket is a hero piece of the collection.

Herno's maxi quilt coat has impeccable structure and gorgeous column silhouette. The detachable hood and sleeves have a faux fur trim. Keep it chic with tone-on-tone trousers and bag, or mix things up with a splash of colour.

Gentryportofino have mastered the art of the elegant, unstructured outfit. These moss-green tweed twill trousers and boucle roll-neck and cardigan coat are the height of sophistication. Pair with Tess Van Ghert's glamorous Byzantine jewellery range.

Even the smallest dash of colour or an unusual shape can transform the final effect of an outfit. So add one of our colour-block cashmere scarves or an Anatole umbrella, which come in dozens of shades.

Sharp shapes like Antoniazzi's thick wool dress look more fashionable and less rigid when paired with something slouchy. Cue Herno's over-sized, faux fur hoodie with silk lining. TVG's rodeo bag and Santoni's buckled loafers complete the back-to-school vibe.

This season's signature colour is black-blue navy. It is the most sophisticated colour, making every outfit look sharp and tailored even Aspesi's soft flannel shirt dress. For the ultimate spy-girl look pair with Fabiana's boots, Antoniazzi's trilby and a bag and umbrella with shiny hardware.

Given the ubiquity of black this winter, we think it might be fun to liven things up with some strong prints and knee-high boots. They instantly make this simple jeans and jacket look va-va-voom. Aspesi's cinched-in riding jacket is also incredibly sexy.

And, everyone needs one of Herno's A-Line city coats. They are the perfect urban outerwear and come with a fur hood and detachable gilet liner. While it can be perfectly casual, it also look fabulous paired with something more chic, like a silk blouse, cashmere knit and Santoni's fabulous cowboy boots.
